Daniel 11:32 KJV “…the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”
.
The knowledge you don’t prepare for, the knowledge you don’t have, the knowledge you don’t acquire will surely hurt – and this is the reason why applied knowledge with understanding (wisdom) is power. Power of knowledge has the ability to build up or destroy.
Let us look at the power of knowledge of knowing God for yourself.
Prosperity gospel church set up a system where the General Overseer/pastor is a middleman between the church members and God. The consequence is that the set – up system makes the church members to worship them (General Overseer /Pastor) instead of God. They (General Overseer /Pastor of the prosperity gospel churches) have hijacked the church from the Lord Jesus Christ and made themselves “the gods of men” instead of “men of God”.
This set up control system in the church is to program or condition the mind of the church members in such a way that in their subconsciousness, they are unconsciously and ignorantly practicing idolatry by idolizing their General Overseer/pastor. Idolatry is extreme admiration, love or reverence for something or someone rather than God – and the word of God warned us against idolatry; the word of God says we should flee idolatry: 1 Corinthians 10:14 KJV “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.”
Any established system in the church for the acceptance of extreme admiration, love or reverence for any pastors or General Overseers is idolatry and those General Overseers/ pastors are “gods of men” while their church members are idol worshippers of their General Overseers /pastors. Both the idol worshippers (the ardent religious followers of any particular denominational church) and gods of men (not the men of God) are the elements of hero worship. Hero worship is for gods of men.
Scripturally, do you know that all the church members and pastors including the General Overseers are all brethren before God? Read this Scripture with understanding; and take note that the Lord Jesus Christ said all the Christians including their pastors are all brethren before God: Matthew 23:8,10 NKJV “But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.” The calling of pastors including General Overseers by the church members with these names of titles as “God of pastor so and so”, “God of prophet so and so”, “God of evangelist so and so”, “God of apostle so and so”, “God of daddy so and so”, “God of mummy so and so”, “God of papa so and so”, “God of mama so and so”, etc., has given birth and rise to the functional system of slave camp of Christianity and hero worship of pastors (highly anointed man of God) in the church.
But the Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 23:11 that the greatest like the highly anointed man of God among us in the church should be the servant of all, so that slave camp system of Christianity and hero worship of pastors (highly anointed man of God) will be disallowed, prohibited, forbidden, in the church: Matthew 23:11 KJV “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.” This is the reason why the holy angels of God never take any form of worship from Christians despite the fact that the holy angels of God are great and mighty in power (excel in strength), all of us are brethren before God: Psalms 103:20 KJV, Revelation 19:10 KJV and Revelation 22:8-9 KJV “Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word……. And I (John the Beloved) fell at his feet to worship him (the holy angel of God). And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy……. And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.”
By the special grace of God, we shall continue this study next week.
