The Hausa community in Rivers state has called for collaboration with Igbo community and other non-indigenes to oust Gov. Nyesom Wike and his Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) candidate, Siminialayi Fubara.
Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt, leader of Northern community in the state, Musa Saidu, said the hausa community has suffered alot in the hands of Gov. Wike, who deprived them of their places of business.
He named such places as Elelenwo, Slaughter and other places, which he accused the governor of using state policy to evict them.
He said Gov. Wike is intolerant of non-indignes and very discriminatory.
Saidu futher said the governor might have done same to the Igbo and other non indigenes and called on those who have suffered same under his administration to collaborate to oust him and his protege.
His words, ”We will come out and vote a candidate of our choice that will help us, not a candidate that does not have us at heart like PDP.
“In the past 8 years under this administration ,we have been displaced and traumatised. We have been forcefully evicted from where the federal government gave us at Elelenwo in ObioAkpor LGA for business. So, the northern community under my leadership will not vote a candidate that will not protect our interest.
“I know that we’re not the only ones suffering under this administration even the Igbo community. We are ready to join with igbo people to vote a candidate that will help us. We are calling on them to align with us and vote a candidate that can assist us . We are also urging them to join us and use our numerical strength and get a governor that tomorrow will look at us and say thank you and integrate us, not the one that we saw in this 8 years of deprivation, neglect and hatred”.
