China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has been asked to refund ₦20 billion mobilization fee it collected for the reconstruction of Rivers State Secretariat.
This followed the cancellation of the ₦134 billion contract for the renovation of the secretariat by the Rivers State Executive Council.
The contract was awarded to CCECC during the period of emergency rule under retired Vice Admiral Ibok Ibas.
According to the council, the contract did not follow due process.
