President Bola Tinubu has said that, given President Donald Trump’s experience as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021, his return to the White House as the 47th president will usher in an era of earnest, beneficial, and reciprocal economic and development partnerships between Africa and the United States.
Similarly, former Senator Magnus Abe says the Trump era will bring hidden surprises.
President Tinubu who stated this while extending his heartfelt congratulations to President Trump on his re-election as the 47th President of the United States of America, said that he looks forward to strengthening the ties between Nigeria and the United States amid the complex challenges and opportunities of the contemporary world.
According to President Tinubu, Trump’s victory reflects the trust and confidence the American people have placed in his leadership.
Acknowledging the United States’ influence, power, and position in determining the trend and course of global events, the Nigerian leader trusts that President Trump will bring the world closer to peace and prosperity.
He congratulated the American people on their commitment to democracy.
On his part, Abe who made the prediction also in a congratulatory message to the American people for conducting a peaceful, free, fair and transparent polls, inspite of the divisive and turbulent campaigns prior to the elections, called for support for the new president.
The message read; “Well folks, Congratulations to all Americans!!!!
“A divisive and turbulent campaign, ended in a peaceful, free, fair and transparent election that produced a clear winner.
“The American people have made their choice, and it’s President Trump. So we wake up to a new world.
“The American people will get the change they have voted for, but they must end their divisions and support their new President.
“However, I know that little in life unfolds as we predict. The Trump era will certainly bring hidden surprises. Let us pray for the new President and pray for a better, safer world”.
