The seven mysteries in the Bible (Part 1)
By Olusegun Ibikunle
There are seven (7) mysteries in the Bible. It is required of all the true children of God, the Christian believers to know and understand these seven (7) mysteries in the Bible so that they will not follow the false doctrine (s) and be deceived.
Many pastors and Christians lack the knowledge and understanding of these seven (7) mysteries! Some pastors and Christians know but lack the understanding of these mysteries. One thing is to know and another thing is to understand.
When you know first, then secondly in a sequential order, you are expected to get the understanding of the knowledge acquired and thirdly (lastly) , you are expected to apply your understanding to gain the wisdom of the word of God so that you will not become a gullible and easily deceived Christian in this end time – Revelation 13:18 “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding….”
Once again for the emphasis sake, if you understand the knowledge of the mysteries of God in the Bible, you will be a sound and good Christian who rightly divides the word of truth – 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Out of the seven (7) mysteries revealed, six (6) of them were revealed to the apostle Paul and one (1) to the apostle John the beloved.
Let us read Ephesians 3:1-10 KJV
“For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to youward:
How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,”
In verses 3 and 4, God made known mystery to the apostle Paul . He said in verse 4 that we should read and understand the knowledge in the mystery of Christ revealed.
In verse 9, Apostle Paul said everyone should see what the fellowship of the mystery which is from the beginning of the world had been hidden in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.
The apostle Paul is the minister and apostle of the Gentiles – Romans 11:13 KJV “For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:”
So let us study the mysteries of God revealed in the Bible, most especially to the apostle Paul – Romans 16:25 KJV “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began.”
All the ministers of Christ are expected to be the stewards of the mysteries of God – 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 KJV “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
This scripture says the man of God should do three (3) things:
(1) he must be the minister of Christ
(2) he must be the steward of the mysteries of God
(3) he must be faithful in preaching and teaching the mysteries of God.
If someone understands the knowledge of the mysteries of God, it would be absolutely impossible to follow the false doctrine or to be delivered because the Bible says at the end of the church age, there shall be apostasy, the falling away from the sound, undiluted, true doctrine of the word of God.
By the special grace of God, next week, we shall scripturally study in details the 7 mysteries in the Bible.
