OK Chinda Political Vangaurd, a body of volunteers, working for the actualisation of the governorship ambition of Hon. Kingsley Ogundu Chinda of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu’s second term ambition has been inaugurated in Rivers state.
Inaugurating the group, the Director-General of “I Win, You Win” and Ward.5 Renewed Hope Ambassador, Hon. Buduziri Amadi, extolled the qualities of Chinda, describing him as the right person to lead the state in 2027.
He urged them to intensify their campaign for the APC governorship candidate, using door- to- door strategy, urging Rivers people to vote Bola Tinubu for President and other candidates of the rainbow coalition at the forthcoming election.
He said those who worked for the candidate during the election will also be considered by him in victory.
Amadi called on Rivers people to ignore primodal sentiment and vote credible candidates like Chinda.
” Rivers people should forget about sentiment. Let sentiment be put aside and let’s support a candidate which will bring pride and honour to the state. The candidacy of Chinda cuts across both riverine and upland”, he said.
Amadi used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to buy into the idea of the rainbow coalition championed by Nyesom Wike.
“I call on Nigerians to reason with Barr. Nyesom Wike. Let all the states adopt the rainbow coalition”, he appealed.
He urged Rivers people to remain steadfast in the coalition as such will ensure the election of the right candidates.
Speaking to newsmen on the sideline of the event which was held at the community secondary school field, Rumuola, on Thursday, the group’s Director of Legal Services, Eze Barr. Chris Onunwor, maintained that Chinda was the only candidate who will make a difference in the lives of Rivers people.
“OK Chinda is a very fine product everybody wants to identify with”, he opined.
He maintained that voting for him will lead Rivers people to accelerated development and prosperity.
Also speaking in an interview with journalists, the Director of Logistics Services, Mr. John Best Agbolu, described Chinda as a man of integrity and pure heart.
“He is a man of his words that is fit to wear the cap. A man that will develop Rivers state”, he said.
On his part, the State Coordinator, Hon. Osigwe Bright said the group was concerned about encouraging right leadership,, adding that it was poised to awaken the consciousness of Rivers people to know what is best for them and put the right leadership in position.
While administering the oath of allegiance, the legal Adviser of APC and Renewed Hppe / Rainbow Coalition Ward 5, Ottoh Franklin ESQ,, charged them to abide by the rule and regulations of the body.
The event attracted volunteers from across the 23 LGAs of the state.
