The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Rivers Province 3 has held a three-day retreat for ministers and workers in the zones, areas and parishes under it.
There were more than 1,300 participants that attended the event.
A total of 9 speakers talked on various topics.
They include; “Who is a worker in RCCG”, “Worker in Trainimg Manual”, “Doctrinal Teaching manual” and “Spirit Filled worker and Vison 2032”.
Other topics were; “Spirit Filled Worker Is Full of The Holy Spirit: Lessons from The Life of Jesus Christ”, ”Achieving Vision 2032 Targets Through One-on-One Evangelism( How Jesus Did it)”, Achieving Vision 2032 Through One-on-One Personal Evangelism: Jesus Example Part 2″, ” Vision 2032 And The Worker After God’s Heart” and “Baptism In The Holy Spirit”.
In his welcome address, the Pastor in-charge of Province 3, Chukwugoziam Onianwah said that the retreat with the theme: “Spirit Filled Worker and Vision 2032”, was organised to upgrade the capacities of ministers and workers as well as fill them with power from on high.
” This retreat is fully loaded with teachings and prayers that will build our capacity, as well as challenge us to go deeper in(and with) the lord”, he said.
He stated that the importance of a well trained and spiritually mobilised workforce cannot be over-emphasized.
He noted that Jesus Christ understood the value of a well trained workforce so much that he took three and half years to train His disciples before He went back to Heaven.
He implored the participants to take advantage of the retreat to move the gospel of Jesus Christ forward in their environment, endeavours and parishes.
“We trust the Lord that you will fully immerse yourself in the teachings, praise and prayers all through the retreat so that you go back to your parishes fully loaded and fully charged to take your environment for Jesus as well as pursue the vision 2032 and great commission mandate”, he stated.
In his own speech, the pastor in-charge of Region 33, David Adewuyi, commended the leadership of Province 3, for embracing, catching and buying into the vision 2032 of the church.
He prayed that the ministers and workers would leave the retreat lifted and ignited with fresh fire of the Holy Spirit for greater exploits for Jesus Christ.
Speaking to Metronetworknews after the retreat, some of the participants thanked the province for organising the programme.
Bro.Uzochukwu Ubochi said, “It was a refreshing retreat. There were several talks and teachings concerning the RCCG vision 2032.
”This has been a strong concern in the provincial pastor’s mind. I thank God that he came up with this wonderful programme to help us as ministers and workers burn with the fire of God. He has made a great impact in my life because I have been changed and I have gotten this mentality to practise what I have learnt.
”We had different talks about evangelism and how we can effectively work as Christians to win souls for Jesus Christ at different spheres. We were taught how we can go about winning souls and I will be seeing myself implementing those skills”.
On her part, Sister Love Ogbugo, said, ” the retreat was very good and I thank the province for organising it. I learnt so many things. I learnt that it is good to pray before going out for evangelism, especially one-on-one evangelism. Also, I learnt that it is good for us to hear from God. I am happy to be a participant because I was.richly blessed. I am going to put into practice what I learnt from the retreat”.
Also, Pastor Dele Oludare said, “the retreat was very interesting and educative. We thank God for the resource persons that He brought to talk to us. it was very impactful and I believe that the ministers and workers have gotten the message and they will subsequently take what they have learnt to their various parishes.
