Many persons were reportedly injured following a gas explosion at a Liquefied Petroleum Gas refilling shop at Sheka quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.
Metronetworknews gathered that the incident occurred at about 8 pm on Thursday.
It also gathered that the explosion led to the destruction of some nearby shops in the area.
The Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusuf, confirmed the incident.
He said that the 20 affected persons were rescued alive and taken to hospital for treatment.
