He commended the new acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Mohammed Yayari for his decision to hit the ground running a few hours after assuming office.
Hon. Ugochinyere who is the member representing Ideato North and South in the House of Representatives, said the action of the new PDP acting chairman has rekindled hope among the PDP family.
According to him, the decision shows his understanding of the urgency to reposition the party for greater electoral fortunes ahead of the 2027 election.
“It shows that the national chairman understands the urgent desire of members of the hitherto biggest political party in Africa to sanitize the system , restore internal democracy to restore peace and cohesion in the party”,he stated.
Recall that Mohammed Yayari was named as the party’s acting chairman on Friday by a faction of the party following the announcement of the suspension of the party’s national publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba, and the national legal adviser.
