The Director-General and Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Environmental and Public Health Management of Nigeria, Prince (Dr)George Ayoade, has congratulated the Vice Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers state, Dr. Angela Anthony Oju-Kienmie, describing her as a distinguished and throughbred politician who has been passionate about the environment and health issues.
Dr. Ayoade said this while administrating oath of membership on her and seven others as fellow members of the the institute, at the weekend.
He saluted Dr. Oju-Kienmie’s prowess as a public health professional.
While also commending her dedication to duty and untiring efforts to ensure a safe environment and healthy society, the MD said that Dr. Oju-Kienmie, has been making sterling contributions to the institute even as a non member.
”We still have professionals among politicians. Politics is no longer for riffraffs and mediocre and I am glad that we have a professional health practitioner who is the Vice Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local government area of Rivers state. I am glad to associate with her. She is a distinguished politician. I can see the interest that she has been showing in professionalism. It is so unique and exceptional. She is so passionate about the environment and health issues’, the MD said.
