Detained Rivers PDP Governorship Aspirant, Hon. Farah Dagogo, has offered prayers for Governor Nyesom Wike, asking God to forgive the governor for allegedly spreading falsehood against him in the Church, today.
In a statement issued in Port Harcourt and signed by his media aide, Ibrahim Lawal, the aspirant said he has left his battle in the hands of God to fight it for him.
The statement read; “Governor Wike has confirmed our concerns that he is desperate to nail Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo with falsehoods.
“Today, May 8th, 2022, Governor Nyesom Wike, during a Thanksgiving Service in Church, confirmed our concerns and fears that the trump-up charges levelled against Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo by the Governor is a well calculated attempt, masterminded by the Governor and his Co-conspirators to put Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo away, and out of circulation and scuttle his governorship aspiration.
“At the Thanksgiving Service, the Governor admitted in public, what was being rumoured in private, that he wield lots of influence in the judiciary and as such would frustrate and prevent any bail application for Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo. We want to believe that the Judiciary remains the very hope for a fair adjudication and the coming days will tell us more.
“He equally justified his illegal declaration of Hon. Dagogo as a cultist and a criminal’ in conformity with his attempt to tarnish the image of the Federal Lawmaker.
“Contrary to the misinformation the Governor peddled in the House of God, Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo is not a criminal, he has never been charged as one, neither has he been convicted of such an offense. His record remains unblemished. The story of the Niger Delta agitation and struggle is in the public domain, and Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo had stated his role publicly, the sacrifices and the overtures he rejected.
“It is now very obvious that having seen all their plans to hang trump up charges on Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo failed abysmally, and the fact that the generality of the public have seen through the plot, lies and questioned the motive, we have it from source that the Governor’s misinformation in Church today is a prelude to further cooked up charges that will be brought up in court from tomorrow.
“Governor Nyesom Wike by his utterances has turned himself to a judge in the allegations he raised against Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo.
“The fact remains that it is all politically motivated and an already failed move to supress the wishes and aspirations of the people.
“For spreading falsehood in the House of God Almighty, we pray God to forgive Governor Wike. The battle is never ours, for the LORD said : `Do not be afraid or discouraged for the battle is not yours, but God’s. It is now a clear battle between light and darkness and as always, light will triumph.
“It is already written in the book of 2 Samuel, 3 verse1”.
