Nigerian show promoter, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as ‘Cubana Chief Priest’ has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to release Obinna Iyiegbu also called ‘Obi Cubana’, who was arrested recently.
Okechukwu who made the call on his Instagram page while reacting to the arrest, charged the commission to free Obi Cubana, adding that Igbos are used to the EFCC treatment.
His post reads; ”What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, we Igbos are used to this. #freeobicubana.”
It would be recalled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested the billionaire businessman and socialite on Monday, November 1 over alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
Iyiegbu was said to have arrived at the office of the anti-graft agency in Abuja in the early hours of yesterday for interrogation by operatives of the commission.
This is not the first time Nigeria’s anti-graft agency is arresting the philanthropist.
