Borno finance commissioner reportedly found dead

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has hailed the judgement of a Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt, affirming the position of Chief Emeka Beke and his team as the lawfully recognized State Chairman and Executive Committee Members respectively of the APC in the state.

The Borno state Commissioner for Finance, Ahmad Ali Ahmad, has reportedly died.

Though details of his death are still sketchy, reports making the rounds disclosed that the commissioner was found lifeless in his room on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, the State Government has announced his  death.

In a statement released by the state Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Usman Tar, it was confirmed that Ahmad died on Monday morning.

According to the statement, “His burial is scheduled for 5 pm on Monday, August 26, 2024, at his family residence on Damboa Road, behind the Indimi residence in Maiduguri.”
