Some supporters of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi are jubilating over the news that the immediate past Rivers state Governor, Nyesome Wike failed the ministerial screening by the Department of State Service (DSS).
An online news medium(not Metronetworknews) had reported that President BolaTinubu allegedly broke the news to the former governor that the DSS has refused to clear him for ministerial positions, at the weekend.
Reacting to the development, supporters of Amaechi took to their social media platforms to hail the DSS for conducting a thorough screening on the ex-governor.
According to Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a strong ally of Amaechi, it is the best political news of the week.
Eze explained that it was dangerous to appoint the former governor into Tinubu’s cabinet.
‘It would be a disaster for such a character to be nominated as a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria, knowing the level of his undemocratic acts”, he stated.
He called on the National Assembly to save the country should Wike succeed in bulldozing his way through the DSS barricade.
