The Chairman of Bayelsa state chapter of African Democratic Congress(ADC), Prof. Theodore Allison has asked Governor Douye Diri to provide detailed breakdown where the billions of naira received from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) have been spent in Bayelsa.
The chairman who threw the challenge to the governor in a post on his facebook page, wondered why a state getting humongous amount every month from the Committee could not boast of massive infrastructure in the state.
He pointed out that Bayelsa alongside Lagos, Delta and Rivers almost got three times more than other states as shown in the record just released by FAAC.
“What is Bayelsa state government doing with our monies. They aren’t building as much roads, bridges/flyovers and other infrastructure like Rivers and Delta states yet they get humongous amount every month”, he lamented.
All attempts to get a response from the Special Asistant on New Media to the Governor, Samuel Kolawole oredipe, proved abortive.
