A political analyst, Irene Jamabo has called on Rivers people to subject all candidates running for election next year to scrutiny.
Jamabo in an article entilted, “2023: Who Wears The Cap”, made available to Metronetworknews, said the call had become necessary in order to search out good materials who can provide good leadership.
She advised that the people should look for a governorship candidate that has agenda to move them out of poverty, which is primarily the essence of development.
She noted that after a cursory examination of gubernatorial candidates of all the political parties, Prince Ugo Beke of All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) is the best candidate for the job.
“As 2023 draws near, it behooves on every knowledgeable Rivers man to subject all candidates to scrutiny among all the political parties with a view to search out good material who can provide good leadership as one has done in the case of Prince Beke”.
“A cursory examination of candidates of all the political parties has brought the beam on this great Rivers son, Prince Ugo Beke. His Curriculum Vitae(CV) has a lot to tell about his experience in business, investment and career as an economist as well as his theme which is building good economy and prosperity for Rivers people. One is of the view that a support of Rivers people for this candidate will fit into the mood of the people of the state. This candidate in my sincere opinion based on his qualification would be concerned about how to resuscitate industries that closes shop in TransAmadi and other environs. A resuscitation of agricultural and other empowerment schemes. Undertaking employment in the civil service in a transparent manner to give every Rivers man a sense of belonging and to build a strong sub economy for Rivers state that would attract direct investments”, she stated.
