A Rivers indigene who prefers to remain anonymous has said that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike is the most disliked man in Rivers state.
A facebook user who goes by the name Ijuye telescopic revealed this in a post on his page.
He wrote: “Someone sent this to my WhatsApp
“OPEN LETTER TO MR. NYESOM WIKE
“Dear FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike,
“Today (18/4/25) I stumbled on another media engagement of yours. I sat to listen to you, and as a trained mind, I felt sorry for both the journalists and the audience. I saw a man who is arrogantly ignorant and living in a fool’s paradise built by his own hands. I also heard you boastfully claiming that Femi Falana, SAN was lying on national Television. I have no business defending the lawyer. But I shredder, when you ( a man regarded as Nigeria’s greatest liar) comes out to insult and abuse a senior lawyer, who was at the Bar, when you were at the motor park.
“If our laws and values were right, won’t you be in a prison? You might have spent over 12 billion Naira in the past 10 years on media chats to stand truth on its head.
“Today, you are the number 3 man in a government that forced itself on Nigerians by the help of INEC and the utterly corrupt judiciary. Even the Vice President of Nigeria seems helpless because of the horrible system we are tolerating. But how long will it last?
“In your well advertised but empty press interview, you again told Rivers people and all Nigerians that you were more concerned about your greed and insatiable desire for power than the safety, development, and peace of the state.
“Then again, you tried to deceive yourself again by claiming that your boys were almost impeaching Governor Sim Fubara, when indeed, it was clear that Gov Fubara had almost completely demystified you, before the Supreme Court was quickly rallied to arm-twist the Governor!
“Then, you took on former Governor, Chief Rufus Ada George, to again insult. Of course, that’s your delight, aside from drinking whiskey, your next passion is insulting people. Everyone knew that you spent the millions on live television just to lie about the issues of the illegal SOE and to respond to the known and correct position of the respected elder statesman and former governor. Of course, His Excellency, Chief Ada George is correct, if you were not overbearing on the Governor, there would have been no crisis in the first place.
“Each time you are hit with the truth, you rush to the press spend tens of millions of Naira trying to bully those who speak the truth to you. So, picking on Chief Ada George was just predictable. If you are not a coward, you should have responded to both David Umahi (Minister for Works) and Dino Melaye. But you knew that you would have come out dirtier. If Of you consider yourself tough, you met tougher men and chose to be deaf to their widely publicized claims, which every DECENT person would have replied.
“As a Rivers indigene, I will tell you what you are pretending not to know:
” That you are today the most disliked man in Rivers State.
“Your control of some members of the Assembly and the use of the judiciary and security forces will expire and you will come face to face with the wrath of Rivers people.
“The humongous state resources in properties and other assets loosely estimated to be worth 4 trillion Naira will be recovered some day.
“The socio-political set back you have brought upon Rivers State, the Niger Delta and Nigeria will not be divorced from your story.
“The table will turn and too earlier than you can imagine. No spell last forever.
“Whether, Governor Sim Fubara returns to his office today or not, that he defeated you and exposed you is a pain you will feel all the days of your life.
“Unfortunately, the one who wronged the people is the one asking the people’s Governor to seek forgiveness from him. What a shame? What a display of arrogance?
“I am not among those praying or wishing you death, but I pray that the scales fall off your eyes before it is too late.
“Of course, I know that those poorly educated data goons who bow to your every wish because you impoverished our people and so they believe that their destiny is to worship you and stay online to insult your critics and spread your disinformation would be unleashed. But as you might know, oil and water doesn’t mix. I am not in their class and Rivers people don’t listen to them”.
