A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has hit back at former Rivers State Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike, over a recent comment credited to him wherein he stated that ex Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s choice as African Democratic Congress, (ADC) Vice Presidential candidate would work against the party’s presidential flag bearer Atiku Abubakar, in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
In a statement made available to media houses, Eze disagreed with the Minister, pointing out that the primary reason Wike was paranoid over the decision was because he knows that Amaechi has nationwide appeal, and projected by the ADC to help salvage Nigeria from bad, undemocratic and demonic governance.
He opined that the selection of Amaechi will instead add electoral and triumphant value to the ADC ‘s quest to unseat President Bola Tinubu.
“Wike has suddenly developed cold feet, he is afraid and knows what the name, Amaechi stands for in Nigeria’s contemporary politics. He is right to be worried because Amaechi is coming.
“He knows that the Abubakar-Amaechi joint ticket portends great danger for the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and his bunch of clueless kitchen cabinet who have failed Nigerians.
“If Amaechi will not add electoral and triumphant value to the ADC ‘s quest to unseat Tinubu, why then is Wike shivering and casting aspersion on the person of his former boss, AmaechI?
“Ordinarily, I don’t have any business joining issues with a drunken master and his beer parlour talks.
“Refined politicians, gentlemen and democrats talk about issues as they relate to genuine democratic governance and not discuss personalities.
“If Wike has never dropped Amaechi’s name in any of his roadside talkshows, then he has not started.
“In saner climes, he is supposed to be languishing in jail for the brazen rape of Rivers State public treasury. All thanks to Governor Similaye Fubara, who condoned Wike’s excesses.
“Wike’s stock in trade is gossip, backbiting, and pouring of invectives on perceived political foes just to curry public favour and score cheap political goals.
“I challenge Wike to author a book on his forays into politics so that Nigerians will know him the more as a man bereft of moral standards.
“He goes to book launchs and colluquims. I dare him to author his biography or even commission someone to write. He cannot do so because of the bitterness and shame of mentioning Amaechi’s name and the role he played in his political career therein.
“This is not the time to remind Nigerians that this same ingratitude personified, enemy of democracy and Rivers State people was appointed a Chief of Staff by Amaechi when he was governor of Rivers State.
” Amaechi, has goodwill, charisma and a lot to offer to the ADC Presidential ticket.
“As a democratic leader par excellence, Amaechi has respect for the rule of law, upholds the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and has the required exposure and experience to serve as Nigeria’s Vice President.
“Amaechi is an epitome of integrity and honesty. He is a man of his word, very loyal, transparent, and accountable for decisions and actions he takes. Above all, he is a team player.
“The ADC Vice Presidential candidate is a good listener and manager of men and resources; he has high regard for human rights as well as protects the rights and freedoms of all people, regardless of background or political leaning.
“Amaechi is a lover of his people and has the penchant to treat all Nigerians equally without favoritism or discrimination.
“He has clear goals for the country’s future growth and development, and possesses the ability to unite Nigerians, promotes peace, inclusion, and national unity despite ethno religious differences”, he stated.
Furthermore, Chief Eze, a close ally of Amaechi described Wike as a serial blackmailer, a backstabber who has arrogated to himself, a demi-god status in every political space he finds himself.
He therefore urged Nigerians to remain resolute in their decision to oust Tinubu from office, whom he described as Nigeria’s worst President.
