Newspaper stand readers and passers-by along East-West road axis of Port Harcourt were today shocked as argument about Russia and Ukraine war led to a fight among some news stand readers.
It all began when the culprits were arguing who was wrong in the war.
The argument led to exchange of abusive words against one another. This culminated into a physical assault.
Passers-by who gathered at the scene separated the fight.
On asking them, what triggered the fight, they were surprised that it was about Russia and Ukraine many thousand of miles away from Nigeria.
Some of the passers-by queried why they would hurt themselves over an issue such as the war in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, in Abuja,more than one hundred and fifteen young persons have besieged the Ukrainian embassy, seeking for visa to join in the war to defend Ukraine.
An attempt by a journalist to take a snapshot of them was prevented by Ukrainian diplomats.
Some Nigerians seeing the pictures of the youths, some of them ladies, were of the opinion that these Nigerians were looking for a way to escape for greener pastures in Europe, as their bodies and faces do not show seriousness and commitment to die in Ukraine.
