Students of the department of Linguistics and Communication Studies, University of Port Harcourt, have voted Dr. Moses Asak as the best lecturer in the department.
Speaking to Metronetworknews after the award, Dr. Asak appreciated the recognition of the students.
He said he never expected it and that as a person he had passion for teaching and in some cases scolded the students not out of vindictiveness but out of love to correct them.
He further said he was overwhelmed by the students show of love and promised to continue doing his best for education.
Also speaking, a representative of the students, Akaiheoma Ogechi Merit, said, ” Dr Asak is our best lecturer. He is a mentor, tutor and father to us. This is our little way of appreciating him”.
Our correspondent reports that Dr. Asak who is a senior lecturer had his Ph.D in South Africa.
