UNIPORT gets 24 new professors, 13 readers

The management of the University of Port Harcourt has approved the elevation of 25 academic staff to the rank of professors and 13 senior lecturers to the rank of readers.

The management of the University of Port Harcourt has approved the elevation of 24 academic staff to the rank of professors and 13 senior lecturers to the rank of readers.

The Public Relations officer of the instititution, Dr. Sam Kpenu, in a press release, said the approval was sequel to approval by the Governing Council of the University.

The statement noted that the Vice Chancellor, Professor Owunari Abraham Georgewill, has on behalf of the Council, Management congratulated the new Professors and Readers and wished them well.

Those elevated to the rank of professors are; DR EMEDOLU C. CHRISTIAN, DR. CHRISTOPHER I. OCHONOGOR, DR WORDU STEVEN AFORMA, DR EZAAL OKOWA, DR. GODWIN OMUKENU EMUJAKPORUE, DR EUCHARIA OLUCHI NWAUCHI, DR KINGSLEY PATRICK- IWUANYANWU, DR ABARIKWU SUNNY OKECHUKWU, DR EKE BARTHOLOMEW OGBOKE, DR EKEVHUKWU OBIAGELI ROSEMARY, DR NWAOKUGHA DOUGLAS, DR NEEDOM RICHARD SORLE, DR ALAGAH DRUSILIA ADEKEMI, DR OMOJEFE GODFREY OKE, DR NWOKOCHA CHIMA CHIBUIKE, DR OPUDA EKINE ALIOMA, DR MERCY O, IFEANCHO, DR AGAVIEOZOR BRILLIANT OGAFAOGHENE, DR EZEJIOFOR ANTHONATE NDIAMAKE, DR UDEME GEORGEWILL, DR ADIENIBO MACSTEPHEN OLOGHAGUO, DR OKONTA KELECHI, DR OYAKHIRE MICHAEL OMONKHEEA and DR EMEKA RAY OFOR.

While those promoted to the Rank of Readers are; DR Jones Ayuwo, DR Emily Oghalu God’s Presence, DR Wahua Chika, DR Adekunke Sofolabo, DR Dinah Sunday Ossat, DR Emmanuek Owushe, DR Big-Alabo, Akuro, DR Nwaiwu Johnson Nkem, DR Ndu Eugene Chigozie, DR Asian Umobong Asian, DR Okereke Victor, DR Julius Naligwu Ingweye and DR Afieroho A Eriarie.
