The management of the University of Port Harcourt has approved the elevation of 24 academic staff to the rank of professors and 13 senior lecturers to the rank of readers.
The Public Relations officer of the instititution, Dr. Sam Kpenu, in a press release, said the approval was sequel to approval by the Governing Council of the University.
The statement noted that the Vice Chancellor, Professor Owunari Abraham Georgewill, has on behalf of the Council, Management congratulated the new Professors and Readers and wished them well.
Those elevated to the rank of professors are; DR EMEDOLU C. CHRISTIAN, DR. CHRISTOPHER I. OCHONOGOR, DR WORDU STEVEN AFORMA, DR EZAAL OKOWA, DR.
