It is festivity all over England as the Queen, Queen Elizabeth II marks 70 years on the throne, a feat no other monarch before her has attained, beating her great-great-grand mother, Queen Victoria, who ruled Britain for 63 years.
The four days celebration which started today with a birthday parade will end on Sunday June 5.
According to the programme of events, there will be a thanksgiving service held in her honour at the St. Paul’s Cathedral, on Friday,
It will be followed by a horse race and concert in the evening on Saturday June 4.
A Platinum Jubilee Pergeant, in which performers, dancers, musicians, military personnel, key workers and volunteers will unite to bring iconic moments from the Queen’s reign to life in a festival of creativity is expected to be held on Sunday June 5.
Jubilee lunches are also expected to be held in Canada, Brazil and Japan.
