He said the barbaric act of bombing the secretariat was an affront to the peace in the state and democracy.
The Rivers statesman called on the Nigeria Police Force to investigate and unravel the perpetrators of the heinous crime and bring them to book.
He said that on no account should the investigation be swept under the carpet, pointing out that doing so will provoke the people to react and warned that the atmosphere is charged, considering the #endbadgovernance protests.
“This barbaric act has no place in any decent society and highly condemnable.
“Politicians should be concerned about how to confront the inability of the state to meet the rising expectations of the ordinary people rather than engaging in violence to settle their political scores.

It would be recalled that suspected hoodlums threw what is believed to be dynamite into the secretariat of the Action People’s Party (APP) in the early hours of Monday, causing extensive damage to the building’s windows, doors, ceilings and other property.
