A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has advised Governor Siminialaye Fubara of Rivers state to tread cautiously with Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, who had a rift with the governor that plunged the state into a political crisis.
Speaking in an interview with Metronetworknews, on Wednesday, the APC chieftain said It was sad that after vowing to fight till the end, the governor would withdraw.
His words, ”Though Wike is an uncle to Gov. Fubara and if it is true that he has gone back to Wike and swallowed back his vomit, It is sad that after vowing to fight, he wants to retreat then he doesn’t know who Wike is.
”As a Cobra, Wike is not somebody you will initiate a fight with and retreat, you either fight him and finish him up or you will live to regret it because he will ensure that you are done with.
”As much as Gov Fubara is the key factor why Rivers State is undeveloped by leaking most of government confidential reports of the government of Amaechi to his uncle, Wike both when Wike was the Chief of Staff to Amaechi and when he was a Minister of Education that motivated or engineered Wike to want to be Governor of Rivers State but if for any reason he decides to go back to Wike, it will be matter of time when he will be swept off from the Brick House.
”So far Rivers State is concerned, Wike is a curse and evil and God in answer to the prayers of Rivers State and her people initiated this deliverance process for the State by what happened two days ago and if Fubara thought of frustrating this process then he should wait to see what happens to him in matter of few months.
”At the time Wike will consume him nobody will be there either to protect or cry with him.
”Enough of maladministration, wickedness and lootcracy of scarce funds of the State”.
Recall that President Tinubu had used the opportunity of the Police Council meeting held on Tuesday, which Fubara and his estranged godfather and incumbent Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike attended as members, to mediate as well as end the feud between the two political allies.
Despite their feud, Fubara and Wike were said to have earlier exchanged pleasantries inside the Council Chambers venue of the meeting before it commenced.
