It was gathered that the victims were killed in their houses in the community.
A member of a local vigilante in Ibaa and Obelle community, Chinanu Elenonu, popularly known as Naked who confirmed the incident, accused two gang leaders in Obelle community, Kiro, and Oyibo, of being responsible for the killing.
The spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, who also confirmed it, said that seven suspects have been arrested in connection with the killings, which were carried out as a reprisal attack by a rival cult group.
She disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, has deployed a tactical team to the area to restore order.
It would be recalled that three persons were killed as rival cult groups clashed in Eleme community in the state, last week.
