Suspected cultists have reportedly butchered a popular radio presenter, Itiat Zion, to death in Calabar, Cross River state.
Metro Network News gathered that the hoodlums came out of a vehicle and butchered the presenter to death, while he was standing close to a popular hotel located along the Murtala Mohammed Highway in Calabar metropolise, waiting to get a taxi cab to his house.
A source said his death may have occurred as a result of mistaken identity.
Zion is one of the presenters of a popular Efik programme tagged; ‘ Uwem Ye Ido”, on FAD 93.1 fm, Calabar.
All attempts to speak with the Police Public Relations Officer, Cross River Command, Irene Ugho, proved abortive.
