Things That Are Better Than Money (part 5)

Money is not evil, but our attitude towards it is or can be! LOVE of money is the root of all evil, but not the money itself. You can use money to build a church, to feed the poor or pay for medicine and save lives. You can use money for education and many other great purposes. Of a truth, money is good but peace is better.
Money is never scarce in the world but peace is.
The price of peace is more than money. Peace solves the problem of conflict – conflict resolution is engaged in order to have peace in the world.
Sin, sickness, failure, poverty and everything that works against peace can work against money ; the only difference is that with time money has capacity to fail while peace always survives, overcomes and prevails because the Prince of Peace has permanent solutions for sin, sickness, failure, poverty and everything that works against peace. Hallelujah! Amen!!
When we talk of divine tranquillity and harmony, we are talking of peace. Peace does not cause trouble but money has capacity to generate trouble, chaos – some people’s real nature and characteristics are known when it comes to the issues of money.
Some people kill for money but peace does not bring killings. Police force is created to prevent breakdown of law and order – government security agents are established to maintain peace. They are to secure peace to protect life and property. There is no peace where there is breakdown of the laws and order.
At home in marriage, domestic violence , wife battering, husband battering and the like will not permit peace to reign in the family.
Students need peace of mind (not troubled heart ) to pass and excel academically.
Money is surely good but peace is far better than money; mostly especially peace of mind is far better than money. Why?
God uses peace as a powerful tool in many ways. And do not forget that money can fail but peace of God can never fail because Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace : Genesis 47:15-16 “…… money failed…….for the money faileth……. money fail.” Money can disappear and disappoint but peace given by the Prince of Peace will never disappear and disappoint in Christianity (the kingdom of God ).
Life after death requires no money at all but peace – there is peace in Heaven because of the Prince of Peace who lives and reigns in Heaven – there is no money in Heaven but peace of God.: 2 Corinthians 1:2 and 2 Corinthians 13:11 “……… peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.”
There are ways God uses peace as a powerful weapon. During the great tribulation on earth after the rapture, God will withdraw and take away peace (not money) from the earth : Revelation 6:4 “And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”
Where there is peace, there you find the presence of God but where there is trouble, fight, chaos, etc. , the Holy Spirit is never present. When the rapture takes place to give way to great tribulation, the Holy Spirit will go back permanently to Heaven. Although money will still be present and even abundantly available during the great tribulation towards the remaining three and half years of the end of seven years of reign of the anti-Christ on earth but there will not be peace of God on earth then.
God uses peace as a powerful and potent tool or weapon to the extent that the children of God have this spiritual understanding by making peace offerings to Him (God). Peace offerings are offered to God by the righteous only – unbelievers can offer money offering but never peace offerings to God unless they are genuinely born again and this makes peace to be better than money : 1 Chronicles 21:26 ” And David built….an altar unto the LORD, and offered……peace offerings…..”
