Things That Are Better Than Money (part 4)

Justice is needed to experience peace not money – and this one of the reasons why the Lord Jesus Christ mentioned it in Matthew 23:23 as one of the three (3) weightier matters of the law and even it is the first to be mentioned – Matthew 23:23 KJV ” Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment (JUSTICE), mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.”
This “justice” is linked to the peace which is one of the components of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.
One of the most important things that makes peace better than money is that peace is one of the components of the fruit of the Spirit while money is never an element or even never an atom of the fruit of the Spirit : Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is……. peace…. . “
Money and gifts of the Spirit will not take us to Heaven but the fruit of the Spirit upon which one of them is peace. It is fruit of the Spirit that separates genuine Christians , most especially genuine men of God from fake ones – not money and gifts of the Spirit because Bible says by their fruit you will know them.: Matthew 7:16, 20 “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
Someone cannot use money to know genuine Christians, most especially genuine “Man of God ” the miracle workers but it is only by the fruit of the Holy Spirit of which one of them is peace. This shows us that peace as one of the components of the fruit of the Spirit is better than money.
It is only the fruit of the Spirit of which one of them is peace that can be used to test and know genuine believers. This fruit of the Spirit ( peace as a component ) is what makes us mature Christians – money does not make someone a mature Christian who is genuinely born again.
The love of peace makes a true child of God but love of money is the root of all evil. Evil comes through the love of money but blessing comes through the love of peace because the peacemakers are blessed by God of Heaven and earth: Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”
The love of peace exhibits by peace makers qualifies them to become children of God : Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” Going further, by this scripture, it also means that the children of God are known for making or creating peace by all means ( for peace to reign) rather than money which is good but peace is much more better.
Peace is better than money for the Bible (the word of God ) recommends that we (true believers ) should seek and pursue peace (not money ) : 1 Peter 3:11 “Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.” The word “ensue” in this scripture means “pursue”.
The expectation of God is that all His children should live in peace with all men, that is, all His children should have peace and give that peace to everyone living on earth – to all people : Romans 12:18 “……..live peaceably with all men.”
It is impossible for all the children of God to give money satisfactorily to everybody daily because some children of God are poor financially and materially since the Bible says the poor will not cease in the land : Deuteronomy 15:11 “For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.” But all the children of God can satisfactorily give peace to all men daily and follow peace with all men everyday and everywhere: Hebrews 12:14 “Follow peace with all men……” This is reason why peace is better than money.
You cannot give what you don’t have, since it is possible for all the children of God to have peace, therefore it is possible for them to give peace to all men – to live and follow peace with all men – we are the peace makers : Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” The true children of God are not revealed and known as money makers but as peacemakers according to the above quoted scripture.
We are children of peace, we preach gospel of peace, we live in peace with all men, we have peace with our Maker (God), our Lord Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace, Hallelujah ! Our God is the author of peace – He is God of peace, etc. Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!!
Everything about us in life in Christianity is peace but everything in the world of unbelievers is all about money. Money cannot buy and give peace in the world, it is only the Prince of Peace (the Lord Jesus Christ ) Who can give peace. This kind of peace He (Jesus Christ ) gives is absolutely different from the one that the world system gives : John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
The peace that the Lord Jesus Christ gives is the kind of the one that your heart is not troubled in the midst of the trouble in the world – it is type that you are not afraid in the cause of tribulations in the world : John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!!!
