The president of the National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), Atiku Abubakar Isah says Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu is a very bad example to Nigerian youths.
Isah stated this while narrating his ordeal in the hands of the President’s son and how he (Seyi) tried to compel him to support his father.
The NANS president who claimed he was invited to Lagos and met with Seyi Tinubu and the Minister of Youth, accused Seyi of orchestrating his abduction and torture after rejecting N100million bribe to support the Tinubu-led administration.
He alleged that, in collabration with the Managing Director of the Nigeria Television Authority(NTA), he was coerced into announcing his denouncement as NANS President to regain his freedom.
” You cannot ask me to begin to promote a president who has not done something. If he does something good, I will promote him. But where he errs, you cannot say I should keep quiet. I won’t do that.
“Since we couldn’t settle, they felt that I am stubborn not to accept money. So, they planned my abduction on the 15th of April, 2025.
”I was stripped naked, beaten seriously, in collaboration with the MD of NTA, I was packaged to NTA to make a voluntary statement that I have renounced my position as NANS president.
” I did that to gain my freedom. But, immediately I released a press statement that I was forced, it was under duress.
” Seyi can do anything he wants to do. I will not stop. He is a very bad example to the Nigerian youths” he said.
Meanwhile, Seyi has denied ever discussing with Isah.
He also dismissed claims that he led thugs to attack Isah’s faction during a recent NANS event.
In a statement on his Instagram page on Friday, Seyi said he had “never knowingly met” Comrade Atiku Isah and strongly refuted all allegations linking him to any act of violence or political interference in student affairs.
“I have never held a meeting to discuss any subject matter with Comrade Isah in Lagos or anywhere else in the world. I have never knowingly met him before. Neither did I visit any location with thugs,” Seyi wrote.
“These allegations by Atiku Isah are completely fictional,” he added.
