The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, gubernatorial candidate in Rivers state, Prince Ugo Beke has celebrated his 62nd birthday in Port Harcourt with mostly the less privileged and physically challenged people.

The occasion, which took place at the Elekahia townhall field in Port Harcourt, on Thursday September 1, 2022, was graced by his lovely wife, Mrs Ugo Beke, the state chairman of the party, Hon. Patrick Woke, APGA Senatorial candidate for Rivers East, Chief Bright Ndah and the candidate for Emohua Constituency seat in the State Assembly, Dr. Charles Welechi.

Others were; the chairman of the PUB Campaign council, High Chief Sunnie Chukumele, the Director-General, PUB campaign organization,  Mr. Graham Waribo, family members, friends and well wishers.

Speaking at the event, Prince Beke said that the joy he had was to celebrate his birthday with the less privileged.

He said that everyone should be regarded as important as the less privileged have something to contribute to Nigeria’s development if a convivial environment is provided for them.

He narrated the challenges he had when growing up and thanked his parents for their understanding that enabled him to be what he is today.

He assured Rivers People that he would be in Brick House in 2023.

He said that Rivers People have been deprived economically and otherwise, adding that that is why his campaign thrust is about the economy, security and prosperity.

He wondered why the average Rivers man would be in perpetual suffering and deprivation when the state is rich.

He said it was wrong for a few to control the wealth of the state and live larger than life from the patrimony of all.

He called on Rivers People to rally round him to usher in a new dawn.

Earlier, the Chairman of PUB campaign council, High Chief Sunnie Chukumele, said that Ugo Beke’s campaign would be issue based and that the council would reach out to all nooks and crannies of the state to solicit for their support.

He pointed out that the party and the Governorship candidate have bright prospects to succeed in that they have made their permutations on how they would emerge victorious.

In his own remark, the Director-General of PUB campaign organization, Mr. Graham Waribo, thanked the guests for finding out time to attend the birthday party.
