Residents of Diobu axis of Port Harcourt have called on the public for information on how to locate the family of a printer identified as George Johnson Sopruchi who was shot dead by gunmen suspected to be cultists on Saturday night, in the area.

”Residents staying around where he does printing jobs are still looking for a way to connect his people. They are asking anybody who knows his people to inform them to go to Mile 1 Police station”, a resident who pleaded anonymity disclosed.

It was learnt that the gunmen trailed the printer to the place at about 8:30pm and shot him dead while he was discussing with someone.

It was also learnt that the gunmen collected his motorcycle and mobile phones.

It was further gathered that the victim who is said to hail from Imo state, died in the early hours of Sunday after he was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, two notorious criminals named Achu Gods First and Victor Wokoma, said to be terrorising the area, have been apprehended by a local vigilante group, known as Diobu vigilante.

The Commander of the vigilante group, Prince Amatari,  who disclosed this, said the arrest followed distress calls about criminal activity around Ojoto by New Mile 1 Hospital.

He said the confessions of one of the suspects helped the joint operation with the Octopus Strike Force at Ogwu, to recover dangerous weapons in the area.
