President Bola Tinubu has been advised to distance himself from the feud between the Rivers state Governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Asari Dokubo, an ex-Niger Delta warlord gave the advice in a video shared on social media.
He said; ”There are a lot of things involved in the Rivers State matter and as a friend I am advising you (Tinubu) if you are not careful, Rivers state will become your albatross.
”The ethnic card is already in this game.’Why would any reasonable person decides to provoke Ijaw people? The Ijaw people are already angry that your government is the worst government and that it is against Ijaw people and you want to add petrol to fire.
”You are looking for money to implement your programmes for this government to succeed but because of one person, you want to throw this away?
”I don’t have any personal problem with Wike but Mr. President, if you allow Wike to .push this as his dream, it will be very difficult for him to even come to Rvers state; it will be difficult for those his 27 lawmakers to have a place to stay in Rivers state; it will difficult for anybody, if they think that they are going to impeach Gov fubara and Ijaw people will allow it; if they think they can impeach him and bring another governor, it is not going to be possible. Mark my words”.
