A clandestine move to parade some prisoners from the Correctional facility in Okaka, Bayelsa State to confess being responsible for the pipeline explosions that occurred in Rivers and Bayelsa States have been exposed.

An unsigned email sent from press unit, RSGH to media houses on Friday, said, ” A reliable source who sought to remain anonymous revealed that the plot was concluded on Thursday night to parade the prisoners with the promise of releasing them weeks after as far as they can play ball to link Gov. Fubara to the pipeline breach that occurred in Gokana and elsewhere in Bayelsa.

According to the mail, It was gathered that the breach on the pipelines were orchestrated by the Abuja politicians, following the threat by some militant groups and statements by the Ijaw nation, which they capitalized on to create a chaotic situation for the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.

“This antics is to truly find a reason to sustain the illegal State of emergency declared by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to also cover the traces of those who genuinely sponsored and carried out the pipeline explosions in both Rivers and Bayelsa States”, it opined.

Furthermore, the mail said, ”it was learnt that already they are firming up the plans to ensure that the prisoners are paraded today, Friday, March 21, 2025 or by tomorrow Saturday, March 22, 2025.

It pointed out that Nigerians are beginning to express fears that if politicians begin to adopt these unconventional and dangerous dimensions to fester their political interest, democracy in the country may be at risk and the people will suffer the consequences.

The mail recalled that recently some prisoners who engaged in armed robbery in Benin City were traced to a correctional facility in Warri, and so, those plotting this evil plan are already adopting the strategy to get prisoners from Bayelsa to do the hatchet job.
