A facebook user has raised an alarm that some persons in the business of luring and killing girls for ritual purposes have entered Abua/Odual Local Goverment Area of Rivers state.
In a voice note made available to Metronetworknews, the facebook user was heard saying that the suspected ritualists entered the area from different parts of the country in four exotic cars, on Sunday last week.
The Facebook user who said he is from Emilaghan Abua Central and claimed to be a repentant member of the gang, added that he decided to reveal the secret for the love of his people.
He advised girls in the community to be on their guard and stop seeking car lift from strangers, adding that they should also be mindful of the kind of company they keep.
The man who spoke in pidgin English in the voice note said, ” There are some group of people wey don enter Abua with their queen mother wey dem say dem need girls wey dem go take do rituals. So, if you bi Abua girl, you see any guy wey carry motor come say make you come direct am go so and so place or make you follow am go club, don’t do it. Like on Sunday, dem come with 3 Benz, 4 Lexus and 1 Venza cars. They are my friends. I don’t want to hear say tommorrow our girls are used for rituals”.
Meanwhile, a security expert and illustrious son of the area, Chief Kakimun Ogadi has warned residents of Abua/Odual to be extremely vigilant and avoid gluttonous tendencies.
Ogadi’s warning followed the alarm raised by the facebook user in the voice note.
He advised the indigenes to report any suspicious movements that could threaten lives and property and general peace of the people in this yuletide season.
All attempts to speak with the Rivers state police command Public Relations officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, on the development proved abortive at of the time of filing this report.
