The leadership of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has declared no movement in the Southeastern part of Nigeria on the 1st October, 2021,Independence day.
The announcement was made last night, in a live broadcast by the head of IPOB Directorate Of State (DOS), Mazi Chika Edoziem.
Edoziem noted that “Biafrans do no longer recognise the purported sovereignty of Nigeria, therefore will not participate in their sham Independence Day celebration”.
He advised every institution and company hoisting the Nigeria flag in igbo land to remove it immediately with the exception of banks.
He also warned the Nigeria government to ensure that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is brought to court on the 21st of October, stating that “IPOB will lock down Biafra land for one month and if they refuse to bring him to court again, there will be an indefinite lock down in Biafra land going forward”.
