There is heightened fear over the incessant accidents on some major roads in Port Harcourt city, just four days to the end of 2021.
The fear is as a result of road accidents witnessed recently on Azikiwe, Station and other roads in the oil rich city, leading to loss of lives and some of the victims sustaining varying degrees of injuries.
Metronetworknews gathered that many persons have been involved in accident on the roads from December 1 till date.
of recent, one Mr. Kie Obomanu took to his Facebook page to call on his friends to thank God for rescuing him from an accident which occurred on Azikiwe road that would have claimed his life.
He wrote; God saved me from untimely death on Christmas eve. For a seconds, I didn’t know where I was. My car skidded off the divide and turned the opposite direction, all airbags burst open to buoy me. Hit my head somewhere I didn’t know, had a deep cut on my head. hit by a drunk doctor coming from RSUTH from the direction of SPAR and I was coming from Azikiwe road”.
Again, in the early hours of today, a 21 year old driver was reported to have rammed his salon car into a parked truck along station road in Port Harcourt.
The young man, it was gathered, sustained a deep cut on his head. People feared that he may not survive because of his damaged skull.
A Clergyman who agreed to speak to our reporter only on condition of anonymity when he visited the scene of the accident, called on Port Harcourt residents to pray against accidents on the roads, pointing out that most of them were spiritually manipulated.
He said, ” this is a period the forces of darkness would attempt to cause accidents on the roads in order to fill their blood bank in the spiritual realm, so people must pray against it”.
