Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party(nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has said that the party stands a better chance of winning the 2027 general elections in Rivers, with the unity demonstrated by its present crop of leaders and supporters.
“With the calibre of leaders assembled to run the affairs of our great party in Rivers State, coupled with the commitment, unity and dedication demonstrated by our present crop of leaders and supporters, I am confident that our 2027 mission is firmly on course by the grace of God”, he stated
Chief Eze who stated this in a press release made available to media houses on Thursday, also used the opportunity to express his profound appreciation to Rt. Hon. Amaechi for the manner in which he honoured his late mother, describing the gathering of eminent Nigerians at the burial as further confirmation of Amaechi’s stature and acceptance as a national leader.
“My dear brother and Leader, I commend and sincerely thank you for giving our dear mother a befitting burial and, more importantly, for attracting such a distinguished gathering of leaders to the occasion.
“The calibre of personalities who came to identify with you and your family has once again demonstrated that you remain an acceptable and respected national leader”, he noted.
Chief Eze, however, urged Rt. Hon. Amaechi to remain focused on the larger political objective and avoid being distracted by the antics of former Governor Nyesom Wike.
“My advice to our Leader is simple: please do your best to ignore Nyesom Wike and allow us to handle him at our level. His latest conduct has only reinforced the impression that he is increasingly becoming politically isolated and behaving like a drowning !man who is desperately clutching at every available straw.”
He also expressed special appreciation to Her Excellency, Dame Judith Amaechi, for the impressive representation of women leaders at the occasion, noting that their presence added colour, dignity and significance to the event.
He further acknowledged the presence and contributions of the incoming Governor of Rivers State, H.E. Dr. Gabriel Pidomson, and the incoming Deputy Governor, Chief David Amapakaye Okumgba, whom he described as a dependable brother and friend whose presence was felt throughout the various activities surrounding the burial.
Eze further commended the “Moving Train” of the ADC and specifically appreciated the State Chairman of the party, Dr. Hon. Chukwudi Dimkpa, as well as other party leaders, supporters, friends and associates who contributed in diverse ways towards the success of the occasion.
He concluded his statement by reiterating his confidence in the leadership of the ADC and its growing political structure in Rivers State, expressing optimism that the party would emerge as a formidable force ahead of the 2027 elections.
