Business activities were grounded at the Port Harcourt mall, popularly called SPAR, on Thursday following floodwaters from submerged Azikiwe road which overran the mall’s premises.
The flood was caused by an early morning heavy rainfall which lasted for several hours.
Owners of shops were seen struggling to save their wares from destruction when our correspondent visited the place.
Victims who spoke to Metro Network News blamed the development on clogged drainages and appealed to Rivers state government to come to their rescue.
It would be recalled that the mall had also experienced flooding in September.
