Bayero University Kano (BUK), has expelled 27 students and rusticated eight others for allegedly being involved in examination misconducts.
Disclosing this in a statement issued on Sunday and signed by the Director, Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records, Hajia Amina Abdullahi, said the Senate took the decision at its 400th mmeeting held on Thursday.
The statement added that 22 other students were however warned by the Senate.
The statement read, “The Senate at its 400th meeting held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, expelled 27 students and rusticated eight others for allegedly being involved in examination misconducts.
“The Senate’s decision was in accordance with the categories 20, 17 (AI, III, IV, V, VI, VII and XII) of the University’s General Regulations”.
