A commercial tricycle operator today was said to be full of praises to God for saving his life when his tricycle which he was riding in plunged into a river near the Eliozu slaughter market in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers state.
A taxi driver plying Rumuokoro to Eleme junction axis of the East west road, who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity, said the operator was shunting from one lane to another to beat a heavy traffic on the road when his tricycle plunged into the flowing river.
According to him, a heap of refuse blocked a portion of the road which caused heavy traffic and the tricycle driver in course of moving from one place to another fell into the river.
He was said to have been rescued from the river by motorists and passers-by.
