The Chancellor of the International Society for Social Justice and Human Rights, Dr. Omenazu Jackson, has refuted report of joining the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), saying his support for All Progressives Congress(APC) is based on conviction.
In a statement issued in Port Harcourt and signed by himself, the Chancellor said he has no intention to join any party for now.
The statement reads; “For some days now my phone had been ringing non-stop from friends and relatives seeking to know my new political move”.
“Even in this platform of like minds, I have read most comments, some wondering while, some seeking answers and some outrightly disgusting comments”.
“But in all, I want to say simply that I have an integrity to maintain in life. Life does not end with wealth, influence or affluence. Life ends with peace of mind and joy of giving shoulders for the weak to lean on”.
“I don’t betray relationship, I have never backstabbed a friend before in my life. Not that no one has offended me before or that I haven’t offended anyone in life.
The enquiries from friends and associates about the online publication dated 30th September 2021 on my defection to PDP is not only laughable but an empty effusion emanating from a defective mind. There’s no truth in it. Though there were high powered delegation to me on the above subject issue but my resolve to remain in our organisation International Society for Social Justice and Human Rights remains unequivocal”.
“I have never dreamt of aboundoning my position therein and never have I thought of joining any party for now. But even as an enlightened political animal which all men are, definitely PDP is out of my consideration based on my political philosophy in life”.
“My support for APC is based on conviction and mostly my relationship with her leadership which actions now and previously is tailored towards the masses”.
“There’s nothing any political actor can achieve without the people. Our political backwardness is because most actors alienate the masses”.
“Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, CRA, as he is fondly called remains a veritable sign post of what a leader should be based on his populist ideology hence my support for him.
I share alot with him in terms of mass movement of social emancipation and my position has not changed and not likely to change soon unless if he drops his populist ideology and embrace conservatism”.
“I have my reservation about where our political class is heading to in our country. Its going to be catastrophic if they do not change their orientation because any Society where there are minority super rich and majority poorest of the poor is a combustible society and the end disfavours the super rich no matter their pretence”.
“We shall all work together to enthrone a democratic order that will favour the mass majority where their social security is guaranteed”.
“It’s a duty for us all.
For those young men and women who have the courage to seek my opinion I thank you for such boldness and for those who swallowed the hook line and sinker it’s still good lessons for us all”.
“Finally, I want to state unequivocally that I’m not into democratic advocacy, social inclusiveness or human rights activistism for financial gratification or political patronage but I’m destined to serve humanity while life last”.
“I may not have all that life demands for me to be happy but honestly I’m a happy man within the one God has made available to me through His unfailing love”.
“There may be challenges but definitely not for me to see black and call it white because I want to feed, never. Heaven will frown at me for such conduct and it will diminish my efforts in life”.
