The Bayelsa State Police Command in collaboration with youths of Sagbama Community have arrested three suspects for attempted ritual killing.
In a statement issued in Yenagoa and signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Asinim Butswat, the command stated that preliminary investigation reveals that the suspects namely; Emomotimi Magbisa ‘m’ 15 years, Perebi Aweke ‘m’ 15 years and Eke Prince ‘m’ 15 years, all natives of Sagbama Community, alledgedly accosted one Endeley Comfort ‘f’ 13 years, hypnotised her to follow them to the apartment of Emomotimi Magbisa in Sagbama Community, cut her finger and sprinkle the blood on a mirror for ritual purposes.
It noted that vigilant youths in the community noticed the suspicious movements of the suspects and raised alarm, adding that they were subsequently arrested and some substance suspected to be charms were recovered from them.
Acording to the statement, the suspects have confessed to the crime, while the victim have been rescued and rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
It pointed out that the suspects have been transferred to the Anti-kidnapping unit for discreet Investigation.
