Dr.Batam Ndegwe, a strong supporter of the former Minister of Transportation and ex- Rivers state governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has distributed bags of rice and goats to indigenes of Tai Local Government Area of Rivers state.
The distribution took place at Nonwa Tai town in Ogoniland.
Speaking during the presentation, Dr. Ndegwe canvassed support for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the ex- governor.
While acknowledging that ADC was on a rescue mission, he called on the people to immediately move into door to door political evangelism and bring new members into the party.
Dr.Ndegwe hinted that the upcoming general elections, would be a clear tests of popularity and a determining factor for individuals and those in government, either present or past, to know if they have meaningfully and genuinely impacted on the people.
He stated that the grass root stands with the ex- governor because of his legacy projects when he re-engineered desired developments in Rivers State.
He noted that Amaechi was not only popular, naturally and politically loved but also someone who possesses sterling democratic credentials that are threat to the government at the centre.
Dr Ndegwe cautioned politicians planning to rig 2027 general elections to have a rethink ,as such plan could invite anarchy.
“Nonwa Town naturally has the capacity in deciding the faith of any election in Tai LGA because of its block vote and large political awareness”, he said.
