A Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has formally congratulated, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, GCON, on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the ADC in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
“On behalf of my family, I heartily felicitate with His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, Waziri Adamawa, on his emergence as the Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the forthcoming 2027 general elections” Eze stated.
In a statement on Wednesday, Eze said irrespective of the criticism against the conduct and outcome of the ADC presidential primary election, he was minded to sincerely appreciate Atiku for the positive steps he has taken so far towards uniting the party and repositioning it ahead the 2027 general elections.
“By visiting Rt. Hon. Barr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Alhaji Hayatu-Deen, your main contenders for the coveted ADC President ticket, you have once again proven that you are a team player, a man whose humility, pragmatism and friendly disposition know no boundary.
“H.E Sir, the timely visits have in no small measure actualized our common dream of rescuing Nigeria.
“The thoughtful visits have reawakened and reinforced our consciousness and commitment towards wresting power from the President Bola Tinubu led APC government.
“I have known you for the past thirty years, but the level of uncommon humility, patriotism, and statesmanship you demonstrated by these visits, after picking the ADC Presidential ticket is very instructive, commendable and highly appreciative” Eze stated.
Eze, also a known ally of Amaechi, told Atiku that his emergence as the ADC standard bearer in the 2027 presidential election “is a testament to your enduring commitment, determination and doggedness in promoting democratic ideals, national development, and the advancement of good governance in Nigeria”.
He submitted that the former Vice President’s vast experience in public service and leadership will continue to inspire confidence among millions of Nigerians who are desirous of genuine democratic governance, a prosperous, united, and inclusive Nigeria.
“At this juncture Sir, let me restate that your stand on insecurity ravaging our dear country and the steps you have advocated to erase poverty and suffering of Nigerians is very encouraging.
“As a detribalized Nigerian, I know that corruption, nepotism and government of self-centredness and backwardness, which have become the hallmarks of the Tinubu administration, will fissle out if you assume the mantle of leadership of this country.
“Not minding that you sent me to Rivers State this past twenty two years and having watched the style of politics of Amaechi, no matter the erroneous insinuation in some quarters, he has a key role to play in ADC route to the Aso Rock.
“You need Amaechi now because the way he managed the campaign that ousted a sitting President proves that he is not a figure any serious minded fellow in pursuit of the exalted office of the President of this country can ignore” Chief Eze advised Atiku.
More so, Eze, who has been a visible, vibrant and outspoken member of the Atiku political dynasty spanning over 30 years, assured the Waziri Adamawa that he will do his best to work towards his victory at the polls.
“As much as I will do my best to ensure your victory come 2027, depending on how far my health can carry me but be rest assured of my unflinching support knowing very well that you have a great vision for this country, Eze said.
The ADC Chieftain also advised Atiku to pick Amaechi as his running mate in view of the former Rivers State Governor’s great leadership potentials, support base and experience.
“I have seen some of the recommendations being presented before you to choose your Vice Presidential candidate.
“But, I must state that those recommendations are so great but permit me to mention that should Amaechi not be selected, it may have some dire consequences on our common vision as most of the recommended candidates neither are members of ADC or struggled in setting up the vision associated with ADC.
“Besides this will be a setback for some ADC members who are followers of Amaechi” Eze advised.
Further more, the erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), advised Atiku to be circumspect in view of the fact that those he described as “the enemies of this country and anti democratic forces will come severely after you”.
“They will resort to propaganda and fabricate all manner of lies just to distract and destabilize your focus.
“But with the prayers of millions of Nigerians, the cries of innocent children held in captivity, and bloods of defenceless citizens being murdered in cold blood daily due to bad governance, and coupled with the caliber of people you will assemble for this mission, you will sure overcome them, no matter the odds” Eze assured Atiku.
“I counsel you to take time to assemble the best of us all who will assist you in this rescue mission” he advised, while wishing Atiku roburst health, will power and wisdom in his campaign.
“As you embark on this patriotic journey, I wish you wisdom, strength, and success in presenting your vision for a better Nigeria.
“May your campaign be guided by issues, patriotism, and the collective aspirations of the Nigerian people.
“Once again, congratulations on this significant milestone, and best wishes in the task ahead.
“May God bless and grant you the grace and wisdom in this struggle, IJN” Eze concluded.
