A Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has lambasted Alwan Hassan, for asking Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, to back stab Atiku Abubakar and secretly work to help President Bola Tinubu win the 2027 presidential election.

Recall that in a video posted on the official YouTube channel of Arise News on Saturday, June 6, 2026, Hassan stated that Amaechi should stay in ADC and work for the APC by opposing Atiku Abubakar.

His words, “Let him stay there and maybe work for us by attacking Atiku, but we don’t want him in our party”.

in a swift reaction, Chief Eze, a long standing ally of Amaechi, described the statement as laughable and a high display of stupidity, insensitivity and foolishness.

The reaction which was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday, the ADC Chieftain said that he didn’t want to join issues with a man he tagged imbecilic, but for the fact that he made the statement on a national television, warranted his response.

He said, “Hassan is an armchair critic, who cannot differentiate his left from right, when it comes to analysing alignments in the politics of Nigeria.

“You don’t talk because it’s cheap. Talk sensibly when you want to. It takes nothing for political wharf rats to be gullible in a bid to have their evil names to be heard.

“That uncomplimentary remarks against Amaechi is borne out of hallucination and fickle imagination of Hassan, a serial blackmailer”.

Eze clarified that Amaechi in his wildest imagination has never dreamt of returning to the APC, even though, he was one of the pioneer architects of the party at inception.

“Amaechi, thinking of returning to APC, to do what? At this moment, Amaechi is thinking of how to take Nigeria out of the woods.

“Where is Amaechi planning to rejoin, is it the APC that Tinubu and his bandwagon of anti democratic forces have destroyed so much that it is no longer marketable and democratic, Eze querried.

He stated that under Tinubu, the APC has become a curse to all Nigerians, and that explains the resentment, anger, hatred for Tinubu and the APC in Nigeria today.

“APC is synonymous with economic terrorism and bad governance. Nigerians are dying in their numbers, with high rate of kidnapping, banditry, corruption, terrorism and clandestine activities becoming alarming day by day.

Eze wondered why a party that has borrowed so much without anything to show for it would become ideal for Amaechi to rejoin.

“Assuming without conceeding that Amaechi intends to rejoin APC, will a political lilliput and flippant Hassan be around to receive him, no, not all, Eze stated.

He challenged Hassan to write an essay on the formation of APC and the role of the party’s Campaign Director General in the 2015 and 2019 Presidential elections, which had twice ushered in the late Muhammadu Buhari as President.

Eze concluded that Amaechi will not only stay in ADC but will work with others to ensure that Nigeria is rescued from a party that has wasted the present and future of our children.
