Ogoni Youths Development Initiative in conjunction with South-South Youths Initiative will hold a peaceful protest on Monday March 9, 2026 at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) office gate at Moscow road, Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
The groups had issued a 7-day ultimatum to the corporation to release funds for the take off of the Federal University of Environment and Technology in Ogoniland and warned that they will mobilise protest if the funds were not released at the expiration of the ultimatum.
While addressing a world press conference last weekend the group’s global President, Imeabe Saviour Oscar, decried NNPCL lack of attention to the federal University sited in Saakpenwa, Tai LGA of Rivers state.
