Two persons, on Monday, died after their vehicle somersaulted around the Jephthah axis of the East-West Road in Port Harcourt.
Two policemen were also said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries in the accident.
Metronetworknews gathered that the accident occurred while their escort van was chasing kidnappers who abducted a man along the area.
It learnt that gunshots from the kidnappers resulted in the summersault of the van across the Median of the expressway.
It also learnt that the two police officers in the van were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
