Things That Are Better Than Money (part 8)

When life storms blow hot and very hot, you need peace (the Prince of peace) to calm down (still) the storm – it is NEVER money: Mark 4:37,39 “And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full…. And he (Jesus Christ, the Prince of peace) arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”
The only effective and efficient (very powerful and potent ) tool that always put an end to war is peace – never money. Peace ends every war no matter how fierce the war is – this is the reason why for peace treaty between warring factions or parties. A peace agreement will be signed by the leaders of the country’s warring factions to allow for social – economic growth and development. Tool of divine peace is what money cannot buy. What every community seeks after is peaceful co-existence of all different tribes living in the community.
The most needed by any stranger in a foreign land to live and flourish there is peace. The tool of peace possessed by the foreigner is what will make the sons and daughters to welcome and accommodate him or her – it is the tool of peace that will make the citizens of that land to allow him or her do business (trade) , establish ministry, have excellent career, etc successfully: Genesis 34:21 “These men (Jacob and his family) are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for the land, behold, it is large enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters.”
God does not use money to handle the enemies but peace by withdrawing His peace from them. Enemies of God can have money but never divine peace. When something is stolen in the house of God (church ) by an unknown person(s) or if a group of people or someone steals from a genuine believer or denies a true child of God his or her right, God will use weapon of peace to recover back whatever that is stolen and restore it back to His child.
Withdrawal of God’s peace (divine peace ) will make someone lose his or her sleep. God uses this as a tool against those who are to bless His children by making them lose their sleep until they bless them (God’s children) – He (God ) does not use money. This is explained better in the life of Mordecai in the book of Esther 6:1, 3 “On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king. And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? ……..”
Another example is the case of Daniel in the book of Daniel; how king could not sleep (he lost his peace ) – sleep went from him because he was on the side of Daniel positively and favourably when he (Daniel ) was cast into the lions’ den : Daniel 6:18 “Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of music brought before him: and his sleep went from him.”
When God has a divine project to carry out on earth, He will put burden in man’s heart, that is, God will suspend His peace in the heart of man ( He will give such a person no rest) until the project is executed (carried out ) and established : Isaiah 62:7 “And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”
A prosperous mind is a peaceful mind…and it is this peace that passes all natural understanding that guards and protects the heart and mind. An unguarded heart and mind are a troubled mind followed by troubled emotions. Isaiah 26:3 declares “Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusteth in thee.”
A peaceful mind means a person is at rest mentally and emotionally during storms of life and are not apt to react emotionally because one is truly relying on the Lord to fix the problem. A stable mind is a peaceful mind – he or she is not troubled because inwardly, right inside of him or her, there is divine peace which is better than money in time of crises.
We should not allow the pressure of the needs we face in this world to rob us of divine peace of God. Lack of peace of mind can cause sicknesses such as high blood pressure in people – it can make someone a victim of hypertension, stroke or heart disease. The presence of peace gives or results in a sense of well-being, contentment and wholesomeness.
Millions of people are physically sick… and it does no good to have increase in wealth…but not in health because wealth (money ) without health robs someone of his or her peace – it brings forth lack of peace. Money is good but peace is better than money.
