Some staff members of the re-integration department of the Presidential Amnesty Programme(PAP) have cried out over the non payment of their 6 months salaries owed them by the office since May 2024..

The staff who spoke on condition of anonymity in an interview with our reporter in Abuja, appealed to civil society organisations to intervene and look into their plight.

They lamented that some of them were laid off without  severance package or pay off in this difficult times.

They accused the administrator of PAP, Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro of hijacking the programme to himself and his kinsmen from Ijaw at the detriment of other people of the region.

The staff members recalled that the programme was instituted by late President Umaru Musa Yar-Adua for Niger Delta region which had been marginalised over the years in order to cushion the effects.

All efforts to get the reaction of the administrator proved abortive.
