Safe Hands Hygiene Foundation has inducted His Royal Highness King Engr. Chukwuemeka Okocha Orlumeni XIII of Rumuolumeni Kingdom in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers state as board member of the organisation.
The induction was conducted during a visit by the body to the monarch in his palace, at the weekend.
Performing the induction, the Founder/CEO, Dr. Okolie John Okechukwu, expressed gratitude to king Okocha for accepting the role of Director in the board,
He said that his leadership and influence would undoubtedly strengthen their mission to promote hand hygiene and public health.
“we are looking forward to a future that would be filled with impacts to our generation”, he added.
In his speech, His Royal Highness King Engr. Okocha thanked the group for counting him worthy of being the first traditional ruler to be inducted as one of the board members of the organisation.
“I will support this gesture as the Lord gives me the grace to do it”, he promised.
He said, ” My family is an example of washing hands regularly. My wife’s contribution to this beefed my taking action and I have also encouraged my chiefs and their subjects to do the same. They are trying hard. Our society needs good healthy living. Together we can achieve the goals set. Thank you for the visit”.
Also speaking with newsmen shortly after the ceremony Hon. (Dr.), Amb. Angela Anthony Oju-Kienmie, FEPHM, Founder/President, Angela And The Rising Stars Initiative ( ARISE)/ Member SHF, said, “It was a momentous occasion, marked by warmth, wisdom, and a shared commitment to community well-being, their healthcare, and the safety of their environment.

The event featured presentation of Safe Hands Hygiene Foundation Face Cap, T-shirts by the Founder/CEO, Dr. Okolie, Copies of Literature texts for Pupils and Students and young adults by Hon. (Dr.), Amb. Angela Anthony Oju-Kienmie.
